消費者の求めた石油元売り業者に対する損害賠償請求事件の最高裁判所判決を計量経済モデルによって再検討する。統計的な考察からえられるものではあるが, ベクトル自己回帰モデルによってえられた結論は鶴岡灯油事件の最高裁判所判決と矛盾しない。多様化する経済社会における紛争を解決するためには, 法学と経済学の共同作業が今後さらに必要性を高めるのではないだろうか。
