The study reported here was undertaken to examine helminth fauna of Rhinolophidae cave bats, Rhinolophus ferrumequinum and R. cornutus, living in Korakan-do, Rakan-do and Nakakub0-do located at Shikoku karst in Ehime Prefecture. (1) R. cornutus collected in Korakan-do was infected with the cestode peculiar to R. cornutus, Vampirolepis isensis. This is the first record of V. isensis from the bat in Shikoku. (2) The number and rate of infection of the trematode (species name unknown) and the cestode belonging to genus Hymenolepis or Insectivorolepis except the nematode (Strongylacantha pretoriensis) on R. ferrumequinum from Rakan-do were markedly great as compared with those from Nakakubo-do. The nematode and the trematode were all mature, but the cestode was very small and immature one whose segment formation did not begin. (3) The infection rate of the helminth parasitic on R. cornutus from Korakan-do was 83 per cent. On the other hand, those of R. ferrumequinum from Rakan-do and Nakakubo-do were 100 per cent, respectively. Each of R. ferrumequinum was infected with some or other helminth.
