Abstract

The purpose of this article is to clarify the position and range of UEHARA Senroku’s theroy in the learning community theory, by focussing on the internal contradiction of the learner. This study analyzed MIYAZAKI Takashi’s theory on learning community and clarified the following seven points.1. MIYAZAKI proposed the following four important matters as the basic construction on the learning community theory. These important matters are “being conscious to contradition of <individuals-their lifes-commnnity>”, “coming in sight of inhabitants as basic subject”, “wisdom for analizing contradition of <individuals-their lifes-commnnity>” and “learning for creating daily ideal life”.2. Particularly the propose of two concepts of “contradition of <individuals-their lifes-commnnity>” and “double bind consciousness” of learner are MIYAZAKI’s original research opinions. The learner cancheck his own basic standpoints for life by recognizing “double bind consciousness”.3. MIYAZAKI quotes UEHARA’s theroy for supporting his four important discussions in his article ‘Expanding the Concept of “Community Learning”’(2016). Accordingly this study checked the important position of UEHARA’s theroy on learning community theory.4. However the range of UEHARA’s theroy reaches more deep dimension of learner’s recognition. This study indicated the following UEHARA’s three original points, by comparing MIYAZAKI’s recognition with KATAOKA’s recognition about UEHARA’s theroy.5. Firstly, the internal contradiction of the learner which is proposed by UEHARA is the critical situation which is impacted by “imminency”and “responsibility” for “The Dead Person” who was killed unjustly. In UEHARA’s theroy, the subjectivity of “the living person”is founded and motivated by investigating to become “the media of The Dead Person”.6. Secondly, on this “community concept”dicusson context, the learner must attach importance to the accumulation of experiences of being killed and oppressd by“modern system”, eg. war, disaster, pollution, traffic accident and medical malpractice.7. Thirdly, the main significance of UEHARA’s “the media of The Dead Person”theory is to make subjectivity which resists the mind-control function.
