Description
Comenius is a pedagogist called the father of modern pedagogy known by his thought of Pansophia and Object lesson. Being a Hussite (a priest of the Unitas Fratrum), his life was affected by the historical situations in the 17th century in Bohemia, particularly by the Thirty Years’ War, as a result of which he sought political asylum and went to Poland. In this essay, I tried to propose a historical perspective in the pedagogy of Comenius, mainly by referring to his Didactica Magna.
