Abstract

High incidence of the progression to liver cirrhosis and the development of hepatocellular carcinoma from chronic hepatitis C indicate the requirement causative antiviral therapy by interferon. In this papar, the therapy for chronic hepatitis C was described with reference to the natural course of chronic hepatitis C, regimens and efficacy of interferon therapy, the factors affecting effect and the changes of HCV markers during interferon therapy.
