“Nijyu-Shinzo” is a story written by Kyusaku Yumeno in 1935.This work has been treated as a failed work so far, but in this paper,I analyze the Korea/Taiwan as a colony and protagonist Kureha Amakawa as a crossdresser in order to show how ethnic hierarchies change by sexuality and gender. In this era, crossdress were in a category of homosexuality or “hentai（sexual perversion）”. Based on that norm,Kureha believes himself as a “hentai” and thinks that he should not marry with innocent Korean Midori. This is change of the ethnic hierarchy which the Koreans of the colonies was in a lower rank and the Japanese was in a higher it.In addition,his appearance to sacrifice himself for the Midori indicates the Japanese masculinity in this era. However,it is an imitation of a Seiban kozou who has the image of indigenous peoples of Taiwan,who suffered the crime of Kureha,which also changes the hierarchical relationship between Taiwan and Japan. Then the biological sex of Kureha is not disclosed man or female in the work.In that situation,Kureha tries to acquire masculinity and heterosexuality by telling. It can be said that it shows the performative character of sex. 　“Nijyu-shinzo” is crossed performative sexual perspective and colonializm perspective about ethnic hierarchy,and by creating yourself by talking about your sexual identity that is connected with the multiplicity of the story and it becomes a resistance strategy to the norm.
