In Japan, there is a problem called the logistics crisis. The logistics crisis represents a situation that the supply of truck transport is severely restricted due to the shortage of truck drivers in the trucking industry. The logistics crisis has led to significant changes in logistics business prac-tices, such as reduced lead times and the frequent delivery of small lots. It has been necessary to improve such as those over years, because they led to inefficient truck transport. In the situation of logistics crisis, companies have had to change these logistics business practices in order to reduce the burden of truck companies. These changes are important to secure the continuous availability of truck transport.
