Description

The specific heat of tungsten oxide between -170℃ and 1300℃ was measured by the new method of using the conduction calorimeter reported in the previous paper. Preliminarily, the cooling curve was observed between 700℃ and 1400℃, and anomalies were observed at 730℃, 895℃ and 1195℃. The specific heat was measured in four regions of temperatures: (a) -170℃~room temperature, (b) room temperature~500℃, (c) 500℃~1000℃ and (b) 1000℃~1300℃, using separate conduction calorimeters appropriate for respective temperature regions. The anomalous heat was 330, 450, 280 and 120cal/mol at 330℃, 740℃, 910℃ and 1230℃, the entropy change being 0.55, 0.45, 0.23 and 0.08cal/mol・deg respectively. Any anomalous heat larger than 6 cal/mol was not observed near the -20℃ transition point.
