ミッチェル潤滑理論の一方式に依り、矩形滑動板の大さ及び介在する滑油膜の厚さの異る場合或は油溝が在る場合に就き各板の耐壓能力、摩擦抵抗力及び摩擦係數の量的計算をなし質的論究を試みたのである。

The present paper is one of the more extended applications of the Michell's theory of lubrication ever made with respect to plain rectangular slide-blocks. It illustrates, chiefly, the results of quantitative investigations calculating about each carrying load capacity, frictional resistance and coefficient of friction respectively upon such cases as the slide-block of any size and dimensions, different thickness of oil-film between the sliding surfaces and as the existence of oil-groove on the sliding surface of the block; and has been thrown a brief account or qualitative discussions for each the cases with both twelve numbers of numerical tables and of curved diagrams secured.
