抄録

Today we see on newspapers articles on natural resources with unprecedented frequency, which owes mainly to growing demands, uncertainty in supplies, and environmental issues. This paper highlights supplies in Asia of four kinds of resources : petroleum, iron ore, chromium, and tungsten. Analysis on petroleum, for example, shows that India is unexpectedly rich in reserves. The paper then discusses current and future frameworks of economic cooperation both within and including Asian countries, and finally draws a conclusion as to which specific countries outside East-Asia should be drawn attention to in the context of natural resources.
