Description
While Japan’s population is rapidly aging and shrinking the spread of the new coronavirus in 2020 has made the problem of labor shortages and made clear the Japanese labor structure which has been dependent on foreign workers. By the end of October|2019|the number of foreigners working in Japan had reached a record high for the seventh year in a row. In the meantime Japan’s birthrate will continue to decline and the country’s population will continue to age and the problem of labor shortages will become even more acute. The reality is that they have not been able to make effective use of overseas human resources in an organized manner. For the growth of Japanese companies it will become increasingly important to create a corporate culture that hires and adequately utilizes foreign human resources. In response to this situation a major theme is how to make the best use of Chinese people who constitute the overwhelming majority of foreign human resources. Focusing on Chinese women who are generally more active than their male counterparts this article will clarify whether through surveys of their attitudes toward working in Japanese companies Chinese women can contribute to the reform of the working style of those Japanese companies.
