大学の教職課程の総まとめとも言える教育実習は,実習生の母校で行うことが慣例であったが,近年,文部科学省は,母校で行う実習の見直しの方針を打ち出してきている。文部科学省は,実習生の在籍している大学近郊の学校で教育実習を行うことにより,学生に対して学校現場と大学との共同による指導を期待している。名桜大学は,文部科学省の方針に基本的に則り, 2014年度から,大学近郊の学校において教育実習を行うシステムを採用した。

Teaching practices that conclude the teacher-training curriculum at universities have conventionally taken place at schools where the cadet teachers graduated. The Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology, however, has decided to revise the system of teaching practices at the cadets' alma maters. The Ministry hopes that trainees' universities will collaborate with nearby schools to guide student teachers. Following the Ministry's policy in principle, Meio University adopted a new system to place students at schools near the university starting in 2014.
