Twitter等の商業サービス上の学習活動履歴をLMSへ統合しLRSへ抽出するためのシステム「M-Pla」の構築

Abstract

近年，LMSやポートフォリオシステム上の学習活動履歴をLRS（Learning Record Store）へ抽出し，ラーニングアナリティクスとして分析，学習者への指導やカリキュラムの改善に役立てる事例が増加している．しかしながら，高等教育機関ではLMSやポートフォリオシステムといった教育に特化されたシステムだけでなく，FacebookやTwitterといった商業サービスが多数，利用されている．それらの商業サービスは学習活動に最適な特性を持つために採用されているが，LMSやポートフォリオのように学習活動履歴をLRS等へ抽出することができないため，ラーニングアナリティクスとして行われているような学習活動履歴の分析が困難である．そこで，本研究では，Twitter，Email，Evernote，LINE等で行われた学習活動履歴をLMSであるMoodleへ取り込んだうえで，LRSに書き込み，読み出すための規格であるxAPIのStatementを生成するシステムを開発した．また，システムの内部をモジュール化することで，誰でも新たな商業サービスを追加し，その商業サービス上の学習活動履歴をLRSへ抽出できるように工夫した．本稿では，本システムの概要と利用することの利点，モジュール化の仕組み，実際に商業サービス（Twitter）上の学習活動履歴をLRSへ抽出したStatementについて詳述する．

There is an increasing number of cases of extracting learning activity record from LMS and ePortfolio systems into the Learning Record Store (LRS), analyzing it as a learning analytics, and using it to provide instruction to learners and improve the curriculum. However, not only educational systems such as LMS and ePortfolio systems, but also many commercial services such as Facebook and Twitter have been used in higher educational institutions. Commercial services are used for learning activities for their characteristics, but when these services are used, it is difficult to export learning activity record to LRS. In this study, we developed a system to extract the learning activity record of Twitter, Email, Evernote, LINE, etc. into the LMS, Moodle, and export them as a statement of xAPI to LRS. Furthermore, we modularized the system so that anyone can add a new commercial service and extract the learning activity record into the LRS. In this paper, we describe the outline of this system, the advantages of using this system, the modularization mechanism, and the xAPI Statement of learning activity record of commercial services (Twitter) which is exported to the LRS from Moodle.
