In the last about 40 years, 11 species of Charophytes was collected in the Lake-Inbanuma. Owing to the contamination of the water, the development of the plant showed a decrease. Therefore only 3 species are obtained at present, and they are identified as follows; Chara corallina Willdenow, C. sp., and Nitellopsis obtusa J. Groves.
