Description

The Carlsberg headquarters brewery in Copenhagen, Denmark, has many historic buildings, including a brewery built in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries. It was in operation for over one hundred years before moving in 2008, and 20 of the original buildings remain. The overall layout is related to the historical expansion of the business and can be divided into three parts according to location and era. The brewery architecture reflects the beer brewing method, and the structure was changed before and after the introduction of the ammonia refrigeration system. The architectural style of the brewery has excellent design characteristics compared with other breweries around the world. In terms of design, Ieading Danish architects praised the work as being first-rate when asked.
