Abstract

The objective of this study is to develop a drainage stack system applicable to steel-frame mid-rise apartment houses that are built using ALC (Autoclaved Lightweight aerated Concrete) panels. In this report, firstly, a compact manifold fitting was proposed, to which multiple horizontal fixture drain branches, which are installed in a house and have various sanitary fixtures connected thereto, can be collectively connected; secondly, the drainage performance of the horizontal fixture drain branches connected to the manifold fitting was examined and clarified by applying fixture discharge loads to the horizontal fixture drain branches while changing ventilation conditions, and lastly, using a drainage stack system that adopts the manifold fitting, drainage performance tests were carried out in accordance with SHASE-S218 to determine a drainage performance value (design permissible flow rate value) of the drainage stack system, and by comparing the value to the result of a drainage load calculation, the applicability of the drainage stack system was examined.
