Abstract

For the purpose of clarifying the actual condition of medication management in long-term nursing care facilities for the elderly, an interview survey was conducted and the following results were obtained. Pharmacists were not regularly located. The majority of medication management was carried out by nurses. For residents with a low level of care, care workers were also sometimes in charge of medication management. The nurses thought that they were able to cooperate and collaborate well with the care workers. But, the care workers thought that they were not able to cooperate and collaborate very well. The care workers thought that they could not discuss much with the nurses who did not join
