Description

Gokuraku-ji Temple in Ojiya City, Niigata Pref., started in 1560. The wooden main hall was built in 1814, but it was demolished when Shoudo Asada was a priest, and the Western-style main hall was completed in 1925. After graduating from Ojiya Junior High School, he went to the preparatory course of Tohoku Imperial University College of Agriculture and lived in Keiteki-ryo (student dormitory). It turns out that he was influenced by Takeo Arishima, who was an English teacher and a dormitory teacher.
