Description

Minpaku used to be defined as Machiya, Kominka, or farmers’ individual houses accommodations. However, due to the shortage of accommodations, especially for international visitors, newer types of Minpaku have been created in urban areas. In 2018, Minpaku Shinpou （New Law on Minpaku） of 2018 is enacted nation widely. Except for Minpaku Tokku （special district for Minpaku） and Green Tourism Tokku（ special district for rural tourism）, Minpaku Shinpou is working as a newer regulation for rural Minpaku operators.
