一般に共働きをする親たちは，子供を幼稚園や保育所にあずけることになる．この時親は仕事の都合で，迎えが遅れたり延長保育を依頼することが多々ある．しかし子供は親の迎えが遅い時には，不安や寂しさを覚えたりする．一方で親は仕事中に子供の様子が気になり，子供とコミュニケーションを取りたいと考える．このような親子の問題を解消することを目的として，親と子のためのコミュニケーションシステムを開発した．子供は保育園から，親は自宅や仕事場から，メール交換をしてコミュニケーションをとる．この時に子供は保育園に設置してある専用端末を使い，絵文字を使ってメールを作成する．絵文字によって作られたメールはサーバ上で文章に翻訳され，親の携帯電話やパソコンに届く．親はこれを見て返事を出すと，サーバ上で文章から絵文字に翻訳されて保育園の端末に届く．これによって親子間のコミュニケーションが成り立ち，お互いの不安解消に役立てることができる．

In general, parents working in the society must leave their children in a preschool. In this case, parents sometimes miss to receive their child, or request overtime for their job. But the child should feel worry and lonely at that time. The other hand, parents should work with worry, and should hope to communicate with their children. We developed a communication system to improve such problems between parent and child. Child in his preschool and parent in her office can communicate together used e-mail. In this case, child can write the mail with pictogram by exclusive terminal in his/her preschool. The mail written by pictogram will be translated to sentences by the server, and will be sent to his/her parent’s mobile phone or PC. Parent can write the response with characters. Then the child will be able to receive patent’s mail in the preschool translated to pictogram by the server. Since parent and his/her child can communicate together, and can dissolve their worry and lonely.
