The purpose of this paper is to clarify about Maslow's view of psychology and science. In the area of business administration, Maslow's theory has been regarded as "content theories of motivaion," Need Hierarchy Theory and the theory of selfactualization have been attracting attention. However, those previous study were not sufficient to reflect Maslow's foundational thought. In this paper, thus, the definition of the Maslow's theory is reconsidered by focusing on Maslow's view of psychology and science that is behind the Maslow's theory.
