The 54th Fluid Dynamics Conference / the 40th Aerospace Numerical Simulation Symposium (June 29 - July 1, 2022. Iwate Citizen Information Exchange Center (Aiina)), Morioka, Iwate, Japan

Reduced Order Model (ROM) of compressible fluid dynamics based on variational principles is discussed. The suggested model is proved to conserve total energy. For one dimension test problem, the model showed good result, with respect to conservation laws and relative error to full order model (CFD). For two dimension problem, however, the model conserved energy well but was not consistent with full order model. To solve this problem, further improvement is necessary for the description of the fluid dynamics within the framework of the variational principle.
