本研究は、発達検査及び知能検査の結果を相互に関係付けることによって、子どもの発達像における認知処理過程(知能)の影響を分析・検討することが目的である。幼児及び児童を対象にし新版K 式発達検査とK-ABC 知能検査を用いて、発達レベル及び通過・不通過項目と継次処理・同時処理との関係を事例的に検討した。結果の分析では、認知処理能力の標準得点の差異並びに情報の入- 出力形式によるコミュニケーション手段の違いに焦点が当てられた。認知処理能力の個人間及び個人内の差により子どもの発達への知能の役割が考察された。
