Abstract
In order to improve the shallow part of the subsurface structure model of the Osaka Basin, the depth distribution model of the marine clay Ma10 layer, which is the key layer of the subsurface structure model, was improved by directly and indirectly using shallow borehole data. In areas where the shallow borings did not include the Ma10 layer, the depth of the Ma10 layer was estimated using depth data of the Ma12 layer, which is shallower than the Ma10 layer. The addition of the shallow borehole data resulted in a correction of up to 55 m to the Ma10 depth distribution model.
