Description

The purpose of this study is to clarify the relationship between expectations for university life and career paths. The survey targeted 442 university students and received 442responses. The survey included a scale of expectations and anxieties regarding career paths and expectations for university life. A one-factor analysis of variance was conducted using the subscale scores to examine the relationship with career path. Participation in club activities, etc., and career path were found to be related to expectations for university life. Furthermore, a hierarchical cluster analysis was conducted using a scale of expectations for university life. They were classified into three clusters, and there was a tendency for the group with high expectations for their career path to be more fulfilling. This suggests that students who view university life in a positive manner are more likely to have expectations for their future career paths. In the future, it will be necessary to try to understand both the expectations for university life and the career path.
