Abstract

Many students already have a sense of difficulty in learning geography when they enter junior high school. Therefore, I designed a history class based on the assumption that using knowledge of geography in history learning would reduce the sense of difficulty and increase the students' motivation for learning. By incorporating the research themes of "broadening and deepening together" and "deepening together" activities into the lesson design, we were able to diffuse and converge thinking in a cooperative manner. As a result, the students' motivation for learning geographical subjects increased.
