Abstract

In September to November, 2011 tentacle fragments of a rare medusa of Tamoya haplonema (up to several ten cm long and 0.5cm wide) attached to fishing gear was collected six times in the eastern part of the Inland Sea of Japan (Hyogo Prefecture, Japan) and their sting was reported.
