本論文では、外国語教育の手段として演劇活動を用いた試験的な英語の授業実践を報告する。演劇活動の教育効果と生徒の語学的/社会的/自己啓発の利点について論じた。また高校２年生の授業の一部である英語劇活動を中心に、武蔵高等学校における近年の英語劇活動の経緯について概略を述べた。
