抄録

The current paper reviews Fujita (2010) The Syntax of Romance Reflexive Pronouns, which focuses on “syntactic behaviors” of reflexive pronouns in French, Spanish, and Italian. The book proposes a minimalist analysis of three constructions (reflexive construction, reflexive passive construction, and reflexive impersonal construction), trying to derive a variety of properties of these constructions from the argumental nature of the reflexive pronoun SE, interacting with general principles of grammar. I will summarize the analysis and give some comments on it.
