New approach to estimate acoustic transmission loss of sound insulation wall (abb. TL) is developed. Conventional TLestimation needed the acoustic rooms which have enough large scale to generate reverberant acoustic field. The mainadvantage of the method proposed here is no need of these facilities. In executing this method, only the hammmeringtest data is used and These data is processed to extract modal parameters of the wall and to evaluate the wall TL. Thelatter part of this process is based on statistical vibration analysis of the structure excited by the reverberant acousticfield. This method is applied to the mockup test of simple supported plate and the results showed very good agreement withthe analytical results. As a result, this method is proven to be effective and reliable tool to estimate acoustic transmissionloss of sound insulation wall.
