In early modern England, society were in the big change and the people were suffered from various risks. Main risks of these ages were mental risks and physical risks. Mental risks had relation to that whether they can get salvation after their death, and physical risks were derived from some reasons such as shortness of foods. This article is a study of mental risks of these ages. The communal society, which had been very natural in medieval England and had a great function to solve the people from risks, were declined through "Religious Reformation" and other socio-economic upheaval. And mental risks were enlarged through disappearance of "corps Christianum", which had been the backborn of the communal society. By the way, Calvinism, which had emerged through Religious Reformation, were introduced into England and the calvinists in England were called the Puritans. And most of the Puritans, who were in the belief of "Programme of God", practiced asceticism in their lives, and they worked hard in a rational manner. In common, these style of living lead them success in secular matters. Most puritans were in the deep belief that their success in secular matters must be the "blessing of God", and they lived individually and independently. As this, most of the puritans has conquerred the mental risks through their hard work and has succeeded in the secular matters.
