語りの分析による「軽度」発達障害における保護者の障害認識

いわゆる軽度発達障害と総称される、高機能広汎性発達障害、AD/HD、学習障害においては、保護者の子どもの障害受容の過程についてはいまだ十分に理解されていない。本研究では、「軽度」発達障害がある子どもの母親を対象に子どもの障害の認識をめぐる親の心理的適応過程について理解することを目的として半構造化面接による面接調査を行った。対象となった母親に共通する障害の認識に関わる要素には、子どもの日常の生活での躓きから障害を意識する状況と、社会生活への適応を考えたときに子どもの特性を「障害」と捉えざるをえない心情があることが理解された。「軽度」発達障害においては、問題なく日常を送り子どもを肯定する気持ち(表)と、「障害がある」ことを忘れられない否定的な気持ち(裏)が同時に語られるということが特徴であるといえる。つまり「軽度」発達障害においては、"障害"であることと"その子らしさ=個性"との揺れ動きや、"普通である"ことと"普通でないこと"の葛藤が、いわばDNA配列の二重の螺旋構造のように親の心に常に同時に存在していることが示唆された。

The acceptance process of disabilities by parents of children with mild developmental disorders such as LD, high function PDD, AD/HD is unknown yet. We conducted interviews toward parents of child with these disorders to study their psychological adaptation process. Results of analyzing interviews suggest that the parents have ambivalent feelings toward the features of disabilities. Results indicate they are usually unconscious of disabilities of their children and think the features as uniqueness of their own child but they have to realize their children's disorders when the children make some disturbance and disruption in their society.
