Description

Illegal activities that have happened in the coastal area have been increasing. A video surveillance system for detecting any activities has become more important. A thermal camera can detect heat energy and it has higher detection accuracy in complete darkness. But, the current image obtained by observing coastal area contains a lot of difference to a reference image called background model. To decrease the difference, we introduce eigenspace approach which contains multiple eigenspaces with choosing reasonable dimension adaptively.
