The aim of this paper is to analyse a sports movie "Chariots of Fire" from a viewpoint of nationalism of Scotland and to consider the relationship between the revitalization of nationalism and the movie which portrays modern sport world. This movie was made in 1981 and deals with the world of sport around 1920 (1919～1924), both of these two periods were the days of revitalization of Scotland nationalism. Although this movie contains many scenes which promote England nationalism, this movie also weaves images of Scotland nationalism which relativise England nationalism. Furthermore, reflecting the relativization of nation in sport, this movie portrays sport by relativising nationalism sport.
