本稿では,生物学者・池田清彦の「正しく生きるとはどういうことか」という著作の分析と,この著作において強調される「恣意性」という概念を無反省に受容する現代の社会状況にたいする問題提起を試みる。構造と「個」の関係をどのような位相で捉えることが,人間科学として妥当なのかという理論的考察を中心として社会構造の一部としての道徳と「個」の関係について検討を加えたい。

This paper attempts to analyze the book "What is it to live justly?" written by Kiyohiko Ikeda, a biologist, and to pose a problem that Japanese modern society accepted a notion "arbitrariness", which word Ikeda emphasizes in his book, without reconsideration. I examined a relation between individuals and moral which is a part of a social structure chiefly by inquiring theoretically in what balance we ought to recognize a relation between individuals and structures from a view-point of human science.
