フルコースの経済学の科目が設定し難い後期中等教育で,経済的理解力普及のための教材“Understanding Economics"の普及過程について報告された諸事例から,「総合人間学」に経済的内容を組み込んだ一事例を検討した。問題指向型活動重視型の学習案は周到に計画され,失業という切実な課題は生徒の学習意欲を刺激しやすく,永続的な効果が期持できる。そこで使われた分析方法の応用能力を体得できれば,経済的理解力普及の目標は大きく達成されたといってよいが,この段階でそうした大問題と取り組むことは,事物の全体像を歪める虞れもあり,注意を要する。

This paper examins a case in Teaching Economic Awarness,a collection of cases in which teachers take part in developing economic literacy in UK upper secondary Education.In this case,a module“Unemployment"is core economic element in“Integrated Humanities".The problem-oriented,activity-based scheme is delibrately planed.“Unemployment",the urgent problem for the studens,will stimulate much learning incentive,and is expected to bring long-lasting effects.If the students can master the method used in the module,the aim of economics education is well attained.But it should be careful that treating too large a issue might lead students to one-sided view of the things.
