児童の安全な登下校を支援するための情報機器を利用したシステムとして、電波バッジ(RFID -tag : Radio Frequency IDentification-tag)を使った新たな安全管理システムの構築を検討する実証実験を行った。実験期間は2006年9月から2010年3月までの3年6か月であった。実験の結果、平均検知率は99%と一定の成果を得ることができたものの、100%の成果を得ることはできなかった。しかしながら、今後、さらなるシステム改修を行って検知率の向上に努めるとともに、人の目による「見守りの安心感」と協働することによって、子どもたちの通学路の安全に有効な学校安全管理システムへと完成させていくことが可能であると考えられた。

In order to support a safe way-to-and-from-school for schoolchild, we conducted the experiment for developing a new safety management system using active RFID-tag. Experimental periods were three years and six months, from September 2006 to March 2010. As a result of the experiment, the new system was able to obtain the average detection rate of not less than 99%, but it could not obtain the detection rate of 100% during the experiment. However, by improving the detection rate of this system further, and by collaborating with "the sense of security" by guardian's watch, we were sure that we can propose an effective safety management system on the way-to-and-from-school for schoolchildren.
