Abstract

本論文ではAwareMirror と呼ぶ普段慣れ親しんでいる鏡を用いた情報提示装置を提案し，既存の日常物を情報環境とのインタラクションのために拡張することについて考察する．AwareMirror はその前にいる人物の当日の予定に関連した情報を鏡面に提示することで，鏡の前の普段の行為の中で意思決定を支援することを狙っており，コンピュータディスプレイに装着されたマジックミラーとユーザを特定するためのセンサ，およびインターネット上に存在する情報サービスで構成される．試作システムに対するユーザ評価を通して，必ずしも日常物としての自然さに固執する必要はなく，システムに対する制御感と情報理解の効率性が重要であることが確認された．

In this paper, we propose a context-aware display that augments a mirror, AwareMirror. AwareMirror presents information relevant to a person in front of it by super-imposing his/her image through his/her daily activity. A magic mirror board is attached in front of an ordinal computer monitor for this purpose. A toothbrush has been chosen as an identification tool while proximity sensors have been utilized to detect a person's position. Also, three types of information that can affect user's decision making have been selected. As a result of user evaluation by a Wizard-of-Oz method and an in-situ experiment, we found the concept was well accepted. They preferred more controllability over proactive functionalities and understandability of information than the passive and reflective nature of a mirror.
