The Hachimann god has been widely believed in from of old as a god of the war and martial arts by the emperor family and the samurai group.However, when the temple and Shinto that prays for child giving, easy delivery, and the child's healthy growth is seen, it is understood that the belief of in production child giving, easy delivery, and the child's healthy growth is influential.In some Hachimann shrines, the Oujinn emperor god (Hachimann god) clarifies the birth from Jingu Empress, and has understood the act of birth was assumed to be a holy act.Land to which Jingu Empress gave birth was made a sacred ground in the Umi Hachimann shrine, and birth and the day were assumed to be a day of the festival. It has been understood that it is a god concerning production child giving, easy delivery, and the child's healthy growth in the background of it.The influence of Iwashimizu Hachimann Shrine was thought to be large by the background to which such a belief extended.
