抄録

This paper inquires about the interaction between chance and necessity of the innovations called “serendipity”, the process of serendipity, and types of serendipity. In order to do so, I will make“ process model of serendipity” and“ typological model of serendipity.” Process model of serendipity which I will make in this paper consists of“ frame working”,“ substitution by chance”, and“ extraction”. Typological model shows three types of serendipity; analysis driven, hypothesis driven, investigation driven.
