セルフヘルプ・グループとは、何らかの同じ問題を抱える本人や家族の集まりであるが、現在いろいろな形で存在し、また増加している。日本においてもさまざまな分野において、当事者だけでなく当事者に関わる専門職の人々による関心が高まっている。本稿では、主に日本におけるこれまでの研究を概観し、問題点や今後の展望を整理した。

The purpose of this paper was reviewing studies about self-help groups. Self-help groups are gatherings of those who has the same problem. There are various kinds of self-help groups recently. It is mainly from 1960-70s that researches about self-help groups have come to be done actively. Interests about self-help groups have been increasing in various fields. It is thought that researches on self-help groups continue to become important.
