Abstract
P(論文)
The aim of this paper was to clarify effects of a peer support program for 7 th grade students (N = 46) in two classes in a junior high school on self-esteem, self-efficacy, sociability, and aggression. These four traits were measured by a questionnaire that were self-rated by the students. Sociability and aggression were also rated for every student by their class teachers. Moreover, each student was asked to draw a picture including person, house, and tree. The drawings were rated from five points of view, i. e., synthesis, openness, warmth, reality, and strength by two undergraduate students after training. These measurements were carried out just before the beginning of the program and just after the end of it. In each class, three undergraduate students in a department of psychology participated in the program as the adults in charge developing the peer support. The program including ten kinds of practice was carried out once a weak for three months. The results showed that the program decreased the teachers' evaluation of students' aggression and seemed to make the students' drawings to look more mentally healthy.
