Description
P(論文)
The aim of this paper was to clarify effects of a peer support program for 7^th grade students (n=46) in two classes in a junior high school on self-efficacy, self-esteem, sociability, and aggression. These four traits were measured by a questionnaire that were self-rated by the students. Sociability and aggression were also rated for every student by the class teachers. These measurements were carried out just before the beginning of the program (pre-measurement), just after it (post-measurement), and four months later (follow-up measurement). There were 7^th grade students as a control group (n=332) who did not participate in the program. They also self-rated self-efficacy, self-esteem, and sociability at the some time of the pre-measurement and the follow-up measurement as peer-support group. Following results were shown from the pre-measurement to follow-up measurement: (a) The peer-support group's aggression level rated by the teachers decreased, (b) The peer-support group's decrease of self-efficacy was less than control group's one. Peer-support group's self-esteem and sociability slightly increased, whereas control group's ones decreased. These results suggest that there might are some positive effects in the peer-support program.
