Description

In recent years the tourist attention is being focused on Roman Catholic Churches in Nagasaki, and from the viewpoint of tourism those churches are going under rapid commodification as unique resources. Based on the case study of Nagasaki this article argues that the contemporary tourism strongly influences any kind of sacred sites, and that the management of such sites will inevitably have to react to tourism trend.
