Several historians have written their articles about activities of An Tu-Gen (安吐根) and the author have also discussed some of his activities in the former papers. Through those works, we could recognized various profiles of personal history of him. For example, he was a merchant who was of Sogdiana birth, and came from Bokhara, Uzbeck, to China, and immigrated in Jiusuan (酒泉), a small commercial town in north-western frontier district. In this paper the author will try to add more a few knoledge of him through analysis of the materials concerning his activities in China and Mongolia, such as literatures like An Tu-Gen's biograpby in Bei Shi (北史) and other fragmental records of his affairs.
