This paper introduces the International Conference on Medical Image Computing and Computer Assisted Intervention (MICCAI) that is a premier conference in the field of medical image processing and computer assisted surgery. The MICCAI is an international conference that focuses on medical image processing, medical robotics and computer assisted interventions. The MICCAI especially focuses on new methodology, algorithm, or medical devices in the sense of engineering. In 2012, the MICCAI conference will be held in Nice, France. The MICCAI 2013 will be held at Toyota Auditorium, Nagoya Univeristy under the support of Scientific Council of Japan. This paper gives brief introduction of MICCAI and also introduces the topics that will be discussed in the MICCAI.
