Description
There are many adolescents with learning difficulties (LD) due to various causes such as neurodevelopmental disorders, deafness, and mental disorders. In this paper, we examined the functions and significance of Ibasho regarding the support for adolescents with LD from the perspective of the community. Firstly, from the practice of Gobusata Club, it is suggested that Ibasho community functions as the communities hub which a relay point of the family and the society. And Ibasho community seems to reduce the difficulties caused by transition from family to society. Secondly, through the support practice of college students with LD, we discussed the problems of reasonable accommodations and the function of Ibasho support that supplements the problems. Finally, we point out the risk that people with LD will be in a more difficult position when the teachers and therapists focus on extremely results-based support. In order to support for people with LD, it is necessary that the receptive and symbiotic Ibasho community, along with the problem-solving adaptation support.
