Abstract

This study is aimed to quantify the change of Japanese corporate communications after the Lehman Shock. The dramatic changes in the external environment made Japanese publicity department a busy year through which their lessons and suggestions for future public relations are expected to explore. As a result of research by Corporate Communication Survey Hokkaido University 2009, more than half of the companies have changed their PR activities; more than 30 percent have transformed themselves in their PR System. Such a qualitative change is expected to progress irreversibly in the future.
