Abstract

ソーシャルワークと環境について，特にこれまで周辺に追いやられて，多くの場合無視されてきた自然環境（物理的環境）に着目して考察を加えた。ソーシャルワークの関心が人々を取り巻く社会環境に集中し，自然環境に十分注意を向けてこなかったことはIFSWの政策文書でも指摘されているところである。2014年のグローバル定義では，諸民族固有の知の再評価ともかかわって，自然的・地理的環境が取りあげられたので，地域定義（リージョナル）と関連させながら，ソーシャルワークと環境について考察した。

The perspective of “the person-in-the-environment” has been a popular starting point in social work practice for some time. But social work practice and education have tended to focus more on the personal side of this declared duality at the expense of environmental considerations. The natural environment （physical environment) has been relegated to marginal status or, most often, ignored completely. This study examined a comprehensive style of social work which places natural environmental issues （physical environmental issues) at the core of social work theory and practice.
