保育者養成校における野外教育の現状を検討することを目的とし、アンケート調査を行った。調査対象は山梨県内大学生91 名と都内大学生101 名である。都市部出身学生が多い都内大学生は自然で遊んだ経験が浅く、大学での野外教育も公園調査のみで、幼児への自然教育についても不安や疑問を抱く学生が多い。地方出身学生が多い山梨県内の大学生は、自然で遊んだ経験が豊富で、大学の授業でも植物栽培やキャンプなど多様な経験を積み、幼児への自然教育にも関心が高かった。養成機関における格差が明確になり、積極的な野外教育で次世代の子どもたちに自然教育を実践する力を養う必要があると考えられる。

The purpose of this paper was to survey the key factors to improve the outdoor education curriculum for the students of teacher-training course of child care and education. The questionnaire sheets were collected by both 101 students of a university in the Tokyo Metropolitan area and 91 students in the Yamanashi Prefecture. The students in Tokyo area, many of them are coming from urban area, had less experience for their own outdoor playing in nature and provided classes were just an observation of play yard for children. They had many questions and fear to practice outdoor education to early children. On the contrary, the students in Yamanashi, many of them are from rural, had more experience in nature,and took several and various courses such as plants cultivation and camping in the university. They were more interested in the outdoor education for early children. The survey reveals the diff erence between two organizations. Active improvements, such as increase of outdoor experience courses, will be necessary for improve their outdoor education classes for urban university, to encourage their students’ practical capabilities.
